Course Outline
This course covers five key topics: Farm Operations & Management, Facility Accountabilities & Responsibilities, Advanced Fish Husbandry, SIMOP (Simultaneous Operations) Activities, and Business of Marine Aquaculture. Participants will learn to manage day-to-day farm operations, understand regulatory and ethical responsibilities, apply advanced fish husbandry techniques, and coordinate SIMOP activities effectively. The course includes discussions, case studies and an assessment to ensure comprehensive understanding and skill development, preparing participants for advanced managerial roles in offshore mariculture.
Course Aim
To provide advanced managerial training for individuals managing operations at offshore mariculture platforms, focusing on technical, operational, and managerial skills necessary for effective and sustainable fish farming.

Pre-requisites
Successful completion of the Offshore Suspended Mariculture Platform Operator Certificate 3 course and the Offshore Suspended Mariculture Platform Supervisor Diploma 4 course.
Appraisal Process:
The appraisal consists of a 1-hour written assessment to demonstrate understanding of theoretical concepts.
Certification:
Learners will receive a UK registered NOCN Certificate Advanced Diploma 5 for Offshore Suspended Mariculture Platform Manager. Certificates are awarded from the UK and will be forwarded post course in soft copy to the individuals and /or the employer point of contact.
