Target Group
The HOT WORKS APPRECIATION COURSE training is designed for:

Yard management staff.

Yard supervisors who have a responsibility for welding, fabrication and other related hot works in a shipyard or fabrication yard.

Safety Officers.
Course Aims & Objectives
After this training, the Learners should be able to:

Appreciate why personnel engaged in hot works need to be properly trained and need to be competent.

Appreciate why equipment must be in top condition at all times.

Appreciate why processes and procedures must be respected and followed at all times.

Appreciate what the risks are to people, equipment and facilities in the workplace.
Course Outline
This programme is designed for those involved in hot works in a shipyard or fabrication yard. The course is designed as a safety awareness appreciation course rather than being a compliance-based training programme. It is the responsibility of the employer and its employees to comply with all relevant OSHA/safety rules and regulations, as well as formal discipline training requirements in the jurisdiction in which they work.

Written Examination - open book.
