Yard supervisors who have a responsibility for paint & blast operations in a shipyard or fabrication yard.

Course Aims & Objectives
The aims and objectives of this product is to equip employees with an appreciation of paint & blast operations and more specifically in:

Appreciating the general requirements associated with paint & blast operations.

Appreciating all of the safety aspects associated with abrasive blasting operations including; all aspects of ventilation, breathing air supply, good communications and equipment safety features.

Appreciating all of the safety aspects involved and resulting from paint & blast operations including; paint storage, fire possibilities and toxicity issues.
Course Outline
This programme is designed for those involved in paint & blast in a shipyard or fabrication yard. The course is designed as a safety awareness appreciation course rather than being a compliance-based training programme. It is the responsibility of the employer and its employees to comply with all relevant OSHA/safety rules and regulations, as well as formal discipline training requirements in the jurisdiction in which they work.
Assessment:
Written Examination - open book.
